Construction Manager

Chemical Plant Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction activities and coordinate, supervise and monitor all civil and construction works
  • Manage interfaces between the engineering of complex plants and their execution on site

Construction Manager

Chemical Plant Engineering – Greater Hanover Area

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Cost Controller

Oil & Gas Industry – Greater Leipzig Area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monitoring and control of project costs
  • Support the preparation of monthly cost reports, including explanations and analysis of budget variances, applying recognized industry best practices to cost control processes
  • Support cash flow forecasting and coordination of cash requirements in consultation with the refinery finance department
  • Review and request cost estimates from contractors for additional work
  • Support the identification and assessment of project cost and budget risks and opportunities
  • Apply schedule-based Earned Value Management principles

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • A cost control certification from an internationally recognized organization such as AACE International is an advantage
  • Several years of experience in a similar position within the oil and gas industry
  • Experience in project controls, including scheduling and subcontract administration
  • Experience with refinery turnarounds
  • Knowledge of SAP FI/CO
  • Fluent German; English language skills are an advantage

Project Controls Engineer

Primavera P6 & MS Project

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Monitor project progress and integrate input from all project stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, construction management and contractors
  • Track progress and perform progress measurement, including Physical Progress and Earned Value
  • Integrate contractor schedules into Primavera P6
  • Prepare project reporting, including monthly and management reports
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and scenarios for project and sub-project management
  • Conduct schedule-related risk analyses

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Strong practical experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • International project management certification, such as IPMA Level C, is an advantage
  • Strong technical understanding
  • Ability to think and work across multiple disciplines
  • Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Reliability and strong teamwork skills

Senior Assembly Planner:

Aerospace

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan and manage complex assembly concepts
  • Prepare material lists and ensure material availability
  • Provide in-house consulting to the engineering department regarding constructability and product optimization
  • Actively manage and monitor schedules and costs, including cost assessments
  • Support contract negotiations and the preparation of quotations
  • Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to the project execution team
  • Act as an interface between manufacturing engineering and the manufacturing management system

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in assembly planning and project management
  • Leadership experience is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and strong assertiveness
  • Willingness to travel depending on project requirements

PMO Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all project control processes in line with standard processes for offshore wind projects while ensuring compliance with specific project requirements
  • Develop project governance and establish the necessary project-specific processes
  • Lead internal quality assurance and monitor and review governance processes and systems
  • Implement project management processes and systems and ensure appropriate training and awareness measures are provided
  • Coordinate progress reporting with functions outside the PMO team, such as Risk Management and Cost Management
  • Coordinate and manage the development of project schedules and reporting tools, including project progress reporting and project management interfaces
  • Work closely with the Document Management team to ensure that the document management system and its processes meet project requirements
  • Manage, implement and maintain the change management process across all project functions
  • Ensure the availability of all required project resources for offshore projects and take an active role in resource status reporting

Risk Manager

Offshore Wind Projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project risks throughout the project lifecycle across various offshore and joint-venture projects during the development, construction and operational phases, and independently develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Develop project governance and establish the necessary project-specific processes
  • Lead internal quality assurance and monitor and review governance processes and systems
  • Determine project budget contingency using appropriate quantitative methods, such as Monte Carlo simulations, to support successful project financing decisions
  • Monitor and control contingency throughout the project lifecycle and independently develop appropriate recommendations for action
  • Independently conduct risk identification workshops with project teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proactively capture, communicate and transfer lessons learned
  • Work closely across departments and disciplines to ensure consistency and comparability in the management of the diverse risks associated with a highly dynamic, technology-driven business environment
  • Develop, update and manage project schedules and ensure effective integration with Risk Management
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial contract management, including coordination between Legal, Commercial and Contract Management

Document Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the structured exchange of documents with internal and external partners to fulfill contractual project documentation requirements and quality standards
  • Support the development and implementation of project-specific concepts, processes and contractual requirements for effective document management
  • Register, distribute and track document packages within the document management system
  • Support the document management function for offshore projects
  • Ensure the correct filing and easy retrieval of all project documentation
  • Support the Document Control Manager in developing procedures and implementing improvements for all technical and administrative documentation
  • Perform document reviews and compliance checks of contractor submissions
  • Support project team members with information, training and guidance on document management procedures and applications
  • Monitor incoming documents and drawings and distribute them in accordance with the project distribution matrix
  • Ensure completion of all document management processes at project close-out, including expediting close-out reports providing an overview of all documents generated during the project
  • Coordinate the data sets to be migrated to the EDMS as part of the project
